....Happy Birthday....
....to me...!
....I would love to be waking up here in a leisurely manner....maybe about 11am....woken by a beautiful breakfast tray....after I have dreamt of....
....a handsome stranger....
....my favourite holiday location....
....a beautiful dress or two....
....and dashing young men bearing gifts....(on the day I was born, 23 April, my Dad likes to remind me that it was snowing in Wales as I arrived....)
I shall, however, be starting off my day in bed with my children....doing the school run as fast as I can....meeting a friend for breakfast and coffee....
....treating myself to some flowers....
....did I mention how much I love birthday cake....
....popping in to the hair salon (and wishing they could make my hair look this fabulous!)....
....having lunch with one of my favourite lunch-dates, my 4 year old son, at the cafe in the local woods....
....then after a quick tea and no doubt us all having a turn at blowing the candles out, my daughter and I will be heading into town to the ballet....her first visit and my first for some years, I can't wait....the perfect day!
(My husband and I would have celebrated on Saturday with a special dinner but instead are going to a great friend's birthday party which should be a really fun evening....)
....I shall be making several birthday wishes this year....
and this will be my mantra for the year ahead....
