Blog Birthday Giveaway - Day 2!!!!

The children and I spent Saturday in town....it was wonderful....and the blue skies made it even better.

We started off our day at the Princess Diana memorial playground in Kensington Gardens....my four year son hadn't been there before and had to be bribed gently persuaded to leave the fantastic and huge wooden pirate ship they have there and my nine year old daughter enjoyed it just as much too. It's a really great play to visit and picnic....a lot of planning went into planning the garden....it has a sensory garden, smooth rocks to clamber over, small wooden houses to play in, tepees...it's wonderful.

We then headed by red double decker bus (always a favourite with my two) to Piccadilly and Laduree....
when I asked my son which one he would like, he didn't say "the green one"....he said "apple for me please Mummy"....a four year old of great taste, even if I do say so myself! We bought half a dozen....including vanilla, mimosa, rose, apple, salted caramel and orange blossom....they were heavenly!!

My carefully chosen route then took us to Anthropologie.
Oh my goodness. What an experience.
Anthro opened in London a few months ago and I have been dying to visit but had not really had the chance.
The store is beautiful and the things on sale absolutely gorgeous, I could have browsed for hours.
Luckily for me (and my credit card and aching toes)....my son had other ideas and when he asked if he could pick some of the leaves growing on the wall which goes up the whole height of the shop, I knew it was time to leave.

We then headed to Hamleys....still one of the best toy shops in the world, heaven for boys and girls. My son hadn't been there before and asked me if it was Disneyland....clearly he hasn't been there either!

We picked up our favourite Thai food on the way home....a lovely end to a very nice day....
we love London!

So....to my Day 2 Giveaway.....

I spotted some wonderful books in Anthropologie....
