Love it! And a giveaway!

Happy Monday!!! Oh my gosh I have waited all day to sit down and do this. I think I get a little too excited about blogging. Do y'all get giddy like this?? Surely it's not just me. So, my friend Lauren (the one I told you all convinced me to start BeB) called me last week so excited because she had a great product for my 'item of the week.' I wish she had her own blog so I could link her. Dang. When she told me the product I immediately thought she was brilliant!

If you aren't familiar with this product shame on you! I don't think I've mentioned it before, but I love to have my nails painted (OPI Cajun Shrimp is my all-time favorite). Back in May I was down in Knoxville for ABC's wedding, and we were at a salon getting our nails did (I love to say that). The girl that did my nails (who I had major girl crush on, btw) used this magic potion on my nails before she even applied the base coat. I was perplexed, so I asked about it. She informed me that it was OPI Chip Skip (the nail gods praise this stuff, I promise). Well, I obviously had to have some. I got mine at ULTA. I'm thinking it was about $10. I promise you all it is amazing! My Cajun Shrimp stayed in place for about three weeks. I'm thinking that was because they were professionally done. Two weeks is about the max I get when I do them myself. Think about that. Two weeks. Before I found this stuff my polish would be chipping in two days! Chip Skip rocks my world and I'm thinking it will have the same effect on you!

Now onto a giveaway. No, not my own. But I'm thinking I may have to do one soon ;) One of my favorite bloggers Headbands and Handbags is hosting a fantastic giveaway! Head on over there and enter to win this adorable That Girl print!

Well, lovelies, thank you for stopping by tonight! Have a fantastic evening and we will catch up tomorrow!

Love it!

Hello lovelies! I hope you all had a fabulous start to the week! Mondays are always so hard for me, I'm just not ready to give up my weekend so quickly! Even when you're wearing cute shoes, Mondays are just a pain in the booty. Anyway, if you're looking for the item of the week you've come to right place! This week I decided to pay tribute to one of my favorite (possibly overall favorite) artists, Toulouse-Lautrec. If you aren't familiar with his work by name I'm sure you will recognize some of the images below. He is most well-known for his beautiful scenes of Paris nightlife. I was fortunate a few years ago to get to visit a Lautrec exhibit at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC. But enough of the jibber-jabber! Enjoy the images below, they are some of my favorites!

Which image is your favorite? Who is your favorite artist?

I'm really into this two-in-one thing, so, I'm going to keep the trend going. Today I'm thankful for the beautiful weather. It was close to 70 degrees here today! It doesn't do much for my holiday spirit, but hey, you can't win 'em all!

Have a fabulous evening, everyone!

Love it!

Good evening, fellow bloggers! Today was definitely Monday, but I wore my leopard-print ballet flats and that made it much more fabulous! As, I was thinking about my 'item of the week,' I just wasn't having any inspiration. So, I decided to get on foodnetwork's website and browse for cocktails ;) And there it was. The most perfect, delicious, indulgence you could ever imagine! Send your "thank yous" to Ms. Rachael Ray!

Frozen Peach Champagne Cocktail

Ingredients:
1/4 cup sugar, to rim glasses
1 pint peach sorbet
2 shots Triple Sec, Grand Marnier or Cointreau
Chilled champagne or sparkling wine, to fill blender, 1/3 bottle
Raspberries and 4 springs mint, optional garnish

Directions:
Place a shallow bowl of water along side a shallow bowl with 1/4 cup sugar in it.
Dip 4 cocktail glasses in water, then sugar to rim glass.
Place 4 scoops peach sorbet in blender.
Add 2 shots orange liqueur.
Fill blender with Champagne to maximum fill line or up to 1-inch from top of blending pitcher.
Blend until smooth and pour into cocktail glasses, keeping an eye out not to wreck the pretty sugar rims.
Garnish with a few raspberries and a sprig of mint and serve.

Is that not the most amazing cocktail recipe?! In the words of Racheal Ray, "Yummo!"
