. . . thursday again and a late lunch with my sister, and while there's a fondness for sun-dappled terraces and luxurious suede shoes, the gently falling rain means there will be neither and on the way out the door, leaving you with these beautifully elegant pink suede platform pumps adorned with perfectly ladylike bows and embellished with glittering little stones, perfect for thursday afternoon lunches, when the rain has subsided and the late-summer sun shines again . . .

. . . has only been a little while since our last breakfast in paris, but any time away from paris is far too long and while we may not be having our croissants and café au lait in the jardin du luxembourg this beautiful summer morning, we will be packing our weekend carryalls for a little time away . . .

{hello + happy monday}

. . . hello! . . . monday, monday and sincerest apologies for the long absence, both here and on twitter -- delightfully surprised by unexpected guests from out of town on friday, and after the afternoons around and about and the late dinner reservations, dancing in heels and conversations long into the night, quaint british pubs and brunches of eggs benedict and bellinis, spent an unintentional and very rare few days nearly completely offline . . . and lovely to be back again to what has been missed while away and while still much to get caught up on, also many wonderful things to share this week . . .

. . . lately have been spellbound by the idea of wearing layers upon layers of jewels -- bold necklaces and glittering bracelets, cocktail rings and cascading earrings -- and happened upon dannijo, a new york-based hand-made jewelry studio founded by sisters danielle and jodie, and fell in love with their perfect mix of rock and refined . . .
