While the guests were the best part and reason for the celebration on Saturday, the food was nothing short of delicious!
The shower started at 11am so mother and I decided on lighter food that worked for brunch or a ladies luncheon. We served my mother's signature chicken salad, a shrimp salad from the Barefoot Contessa (I do not even like shrimp, but this was AMAZING- recipe to come), a green salad and fruit for the more luncheon items.
Then we had a wonderful egg dish that was similar to a spinach quiche but without the crust and cheese grits.
Of course we had to have croissants and muffins as well!
While the theme of Peter Rabbit was of course carried out on the table with the tea set and figurines we also used these darling bread basket linens too. So sweet!

We ate around 12am and then played a few games (we banned all the gross diaper/candy bar ones-ick- and stuck to sweet, classics) and then ate dessert before opening gifts.
