Gels: 8 Days Later

It has been over a week since I got my Strawberry Margarita gels and they are still looking DIVINE:

Many of you asked about getting gels just one time. As I mentioned in last week's post I would not recommend just doing a "no chip" manicure just once. While it does last much longer I know it can weaken the nails of some people. I have not felt like my nails are at all weaker, but it varies by person. So again, I would only suggest getting gels if you want to stick with it long term.
Someone else also asked about a gel fill. A gel fill is NOT like an acrylic fill. It is essentially just another gel manicure (it just cost $5 less at my salon). So, if you want to change colors- like I did- you are free to do so! A gel fill takes about an hour and fifteen minutes whereas a first time gel appointment takes just under an hour.
I LOVE my gels! They are low maintenance and look great. Regular manicures tend to only hold up for about five or six days for me (even when I apply additional no chip topcoats every other day) so gels are perfect for my schedule and lifestyle!
