Ever since I was a little girl I have LOVED the color pink. I do not think think I will ever tire of having the color around. In fact, my parent's bedroom has been painted pink in several of our homes and mother still loves it (and no, father has never complained!). I have all pink and white bedding now with several pink accent furniture pieces so I am not planning on painting my bedroom pink anytime soon. However, I have totally been obsessing over the idea of painting the living room pink should I ever move. I am not thinking a light pink, a bubble gum pink, but rather a raspberry shade or a hot pink! I love color and I know I eventually want to do lots of blue and white with gold accents so pink will be the PERFECT backdrop. Recently, I spotted several fabulous pink rooms that I had to share along with some of the classics we have seen all over the net.

Traditional Home, April 2010
Please note: my scanner was not working so both Traditional Home photos are a bit off (they are not on their website so I had to settle for a Blackberry shot), but you can get the idea. The above home is in Boston and is fabulously done; if you have the chance do read the entire article. This pink living room is simply stunning. The walls pull the colors from the needlepoint rug as well as the various fabrics throughout the room and everything just pops against this back drop.

Pink is a color you can grow with. Even though this is a little girl's room the walls give the entire room to a more sophisticated feel.

Benjamin Moore Coral Pink
While coral pink is not the exact shade of pink I have in mind, this entry is perfection. You can see that all things blue and white just yearn to be paired with all things pink....at least in Mary McDonald's world and Hopsy's world!

Benjamin Moore Razzle Dazzle
Jonathan Berger certainly makes any visitor all pink with envy when they enter the above townhouse. The hot pink walls make everything else pop yet again.
If you choose the right paint color you can not only make an impression, but you can bring a room to life. Everything works together like magic and a room really comes to life. I think the perfect hot pink is just what the doctor, rather interior designer, ordered!
