On Monday night in London's Covent Garden, Project Catwalk 2008 winner Jasper Garvida followed up his previous three acclaimed Ready to Wear collections.
Inspired by Paris in 1951 and the silhouettes of Degas' ballerinas, his Spring Summer 2011 Collection "Belle" was a stunning combination of femininity - pretty, pink, soft and sweeping - contrasted with super-stylish fitted jackets and trousers in brocade and giant sequins.
His tailoring is beautifully streamlined and hand-embellished and textured pieces combine with softly layered feminine jersey hand printed pieces and modern pleated ballerina skirts.
The "Belle" collection uses a fresh colour palette of muted pastels and neutral reminiscent of the French Impressionist colours - soft lilacs and pinks - along with a wide variety of luxury fabrics such as silk organza, brocade, jersey, voile and cloque.

Hair was swept up into candy floss buns, adorned with sugar pink hair pieces and decorated with jewel encrusted headbands.....absolutely beautiful!
....ruffles, tulle, beadwork, embroidery....all beautifully hand embellished....
This was my first ever - and hopefully not my last - fashion show so I have nothing to compare it to but on the night everyone was absolutely lovely - backstage was relaxed and calm from the smiling models to Jasper himself who was totally adorable, sweet and gracious.
I had a great seat and loved the buzz of the show.
Thank you so much to the gorgeous Roxy and Emma for my invitation and for their hospitality and also to Miele, Push PR and Forever Better.
PS For those who asked....I wore long skinny black jeans by H&M, fitted black jacket by Zara, slate grey top-tunic by H&M, black boots by Zara as seen here .....and my favourite large burnt orange Ted Baker bag in which I took everything but the kitchen sink, just in case ;)
