Pearls. How I Love Thee.

Happy Sunday, blog family! As you can see from my 'thanks' post in the sidebar it is a beautiful day here in Virginia (at least on my end of the state)! I hope you all have had a great weekend and are rested and ready to start another week. I wrapped up my first master's class yesterday, which is a huge relief. One down, two to go. My mom and I did a little shopping as well. I got some very cute, versatile pieces for work, including a green cardigan trimmed with leopard ribbon (go ahead and scold me for my animal print obsession)! And I had full intention of stocking up on my favorite Bath & Body Works holiday scent (Winter Candle Apple, obvi) yesterday, until.... We walked into the store and upon surveying the display I realized there was no body lotion. I asked a sales lady if they had any in the back. She informed me they were sold out. WHAT?! Please tell me how that happens? I regained my composure and left the store, cursing to my mom (in a ladylike manner, of course) about my dilemma. Please tell me something like this has happened to you all before??

I feel that there should have been a disclaimer about this post: It's a long one, so prepare yourselves. Not long in an 'oh my gosh, what is she rambling about, who cares' kind of way but in a 'oh I love this, give me more, give me more' kind of way :) I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it!

Today I would like to pay tribute to one of my favorite accessories: pearls. Now, you probably aren't surprised by this at all. I love pearls. I think they are just the icing on the cake. The cherry on top. The creme de la creme. I think they can make any outfit look glamorous and sophisticated. You agree? Oh, I thought you would!

You did love it!! I knew you would! If you are a pearl lover and wearer like me you understand the beauty of these photos- even the silly ones, like Mrs. Flintstone :) I thought this was a great way to start the week! Which one (or more) is your favorite? I think the Jackie O. is my pick!

Come back tomorrow for my item of the week! It's a good one!
