Crystal Charity

What a weekend I had! I have been a busy bee, but I suppose December is just that time of year for all of us, right? As mentioned last week, I had several parties to attend this past weekend, including one gala. Well, sadly (at the time it was sad, but later it ended up being a good thing) the gold dress I was going to wear was never sent. Needless to say, I was panicking and when I left work at 10:30pm on Friday so I ran to the only store still open, Macy's and I purchased a new dress. They only had two long dresses in my size at the store so thankfully the one I preferred fit. After a bit of fretting, many phone calls and tons persuading my problem was thankfully solved and I had a dress for Crystal Charity Ball.
The theme of this year's ball was 'A Night in Imperial Kyoto'. I have to admit I have never been too keen on Asian decor so I was interested to see how exactly the theme was pulled off. To say the chair and her team went all out and it was perfect would be an understatement. It was simply stunning.
I loved our flowers. We were at one of the square tables right by the dance floor and had a lower arrangement that was packed full of all things beautiful.Lindsey had a similar dress issue the night before the ball too. Here we are in our last minute finds! I have to admit was NOT a fan of my makeup. I went to a new girl at Bobbi Brown and asked for elegant, more bride like make up. This was not at all what I had envisioned, but thankfully it looked OK with the dress.
You can imagine my excitement when I spotted this blue and white set-up. Delightful!
The dessert was my favorite course of the evening. Isn't the chocolate accent neat? SO very fitting for the theme. After dessert it was time to dance. The bad was fabulous! They played all the classic oldies, but mixed in a few Rhianna songs and even Justin Bieber.
While the entire evening was spectacular one of the main highlights was winning a trip to St. John's! All in all the evening was beyond fabulous and I am so thrilled I was able to attend!
