The Costume Gala Benefit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art always seems to produce such fabulous dresses and this year was no exception.

In no particular order, the dresses above were my favourites...

some wore great dresses but their make-up looked all wrong - Kate Hudson, Eva Longoria Parker....

some let the dress wear them rather than the other way round, some looked a little lost and just wrong - Kristin Stewart, Carey Mulligan.....

and some wore great dresses but just to the wrong occasion - Bar Rafaeli and Gisele Bunchen....

a good stylist is clearly worth their weight in gold, it's so easy to get it wrong....

Thank goodness I don't have any of these fabulous occasions to go to!! If only....
