Wordless Wednesday....

Kate Moss by Mario Testino

Happy Wednesday....

Wedding : Kate Moss

Mario Sorrenti, Mario Testino and Jude Law

The wedding of Kate Moss and Jamie Hince on 11 July was a beautiful and very English affair....
a country church, 15 little bridesmaids in Bonpoint dresses, photos by Mario Testino, the most amazing guest list and a radiant Kate Moss wearing a stunning gown by John Galliano. Her wedding veil was one of the most beautiful I've ever seen.

I read somewhere that she wanted to have a very traditional wedding - exactly the kind of wedding that people didn't expect her to have and I love that.
She rarely, if ever, does interviews, and she is certainly her own person.
The couple looked blissfully happy and sounded absolutely gorgeous....who doesn't love an English country wedding!

The wedding photos appeared in Vogue September issue along with the photos below taken by Mario Testino....

Sizzling Silver or Gorgeous Grey....

I couldn't decide whether to choose grey or silver for my colour of choice today....so I chose both! I have always loved grey whether it's a darker shade of charcoal, a pale French grey or "stormcloud" grey (as I call it). As for silver....some days we all need a little added sparkle....

Just the most gorgeous image....I love everything about it!
Sometimes hard to remember....but so true....

A very toned Jennifer Aniston looking sparkly fabulous at the premiere of "Love Happens" last week....great dress and amazing legs....

Absolutely beautiful....those ruffles are amazing....

Ultimate rock chick Kate Moss....the camera does love that girl....I love this shot of her....

Halle Berry at the Oscars....

With limbs this long, I guess you can wear pretty much what you want....love these shoes too....

The stunning Eva Mendes....love this shade of grey....

Beautiful....

Jennifer again, glamorous in silver....she clearly doesn't spend her Sundays eating toast and ice-cream....ahem!

And neither does Charlize Theron....looking goddess-like here....

What an incredible dress....

My favourite shade of grey....

I have surprised myself by doing a post that is solely fashion! I think I have dresses and red carpets on the brain tonight.....my lovely friend Marisa is once again attending the Emmys in Los Angeles as a "seat-filler"....she will be glamorous in red and I will be quizzing her tomorrow as to who she saw and sat next to.....who sizzled and who wore what.....what a fun evening....I am hoping to catch her later on television if I can stay awake. It's a pretty busy and long day for her....I have given her strict instructions as to what she is to do if she gets within stroking distance of Kiefer, Hugh, George or Brad ;)
Happy Monday.....and thank you so much to everyone who left me kind messages after my post yesterday....

{inspiration: black + white}

When there's a moment to spend sorting through the abyss that is the closet, often find myself wandering away to do other things -- sometimes difficult to pare down and part with things, infinitely easier to sort through the hundreds of photographs in inspiration folders -- and happened upon these lovely shots of black + white -- the best of both worlds: bright airiness contrasted with bold elegance . . .

{inspiration: a walk on the wild side}

Lately have been considering adventurous animal prints such as leopard and cheetah as accents, such as throw cushions and especially when mixed with crisp whites and feminine florals . . .

. . . or on the floor, perfectly paired with white trim and seagrass walls

. . . perhaps even a few fun Fall fashion accessories:

miss clichy 140 boots; 6 - helena rubinstein lash queen feline blacks mascara; 7 - toss designs leopard flask by art effect

Emily Blunt looking absolutely beautiful on the cover of the September issue of Elle magazine....

Once again, my week has flown by....the children have been busy with activities, my brother came to visit, we went to the movies, went into town and shopped up a storm.....phew!

As part of my "Summer of Reading"....I read two fabulous books this week.

One Day (Vintage Contemporaries Original)  The Glass Castle: A Memoir

"One Day" is without question my book of 2010...I absolutely loved it, literally couldn't put it down, could relate to so much of it and just fell in love with the characters. Please please read it!

"The Glass Castle" was also an excellent read....a quite astonishing true story of the author's very tough childhood with some absolutely jaw-dropping moments of "parenting" (in its very loosest sense)....I found it incredibly moving and actually cried when I finished it....

I have also been trying to catch up with "Grey's Anatomy"....I am only a very new convert to it....started Season 3 tonight.....and am loving it....so much for early nights this week!

This week-end will be spent packing and preparing to go away to France next week....lots to do still!

Finally, I am dedicating this post to Jean P.....I have no email for you Jean....so can't write to thank you for leaving me a couple of very special comments....I was truly so touched by what you said, more than you can possibly imagine, your words will stay with me for a long time....
Thank you so much....my very best wishes to you....I hope you read this.

Happy Week-end everyone!

(this made me smile!)
