. . . sequins, organza, tweed and georgette, cotton organdie and silk brocade, tulle and pompoms, and frills and froth, continuing on with a love for things australian recently, and desperately head over heels for mrs. press, sydney-based and overflowing with luxurious finishes and the finest fabrics, perfect for the girl who lives "a world of 1930s silk chemises, french knickers, fragile kimonos, champagne breakfasts and antique lace . . ."
{p.s.} if you've left a lovely comment here this morning but do not see it, it was accidently deleted -- apologies! {& thank you xo}

. . . having quite a love affair with all things australian lately, with katie and natasha, and now these incredibly beautiful rings by billy bride, handcrafted from naturally occurring materials such as citrine, lapis lazuli, quartz, and the stunning, champagne aura, a metaphysical stone created when quartz is bonded with vaporized gold . . .

. . . have had this editorial, oh so pretty: live it up in a delicate dress by georges antoni for aussie magazine grazia on the inspiration board for a while now, most especially for the little white lace dress by alex perry, but also because absolutely adore delicate dresses and dressing up, and every once in a while and especially on dusky and daydreamy afternoons at home . . .
{p.s.} happy, happy september! while shall always love summer best, september is a rather beautiful month, with the last magical afternoons of the summer, and the first brisk mornings of autumn, moments after the sun has risen and there's a feeling of change and adventure in the air . . .

. . . this week's table for two is favourite australian food photographer katie quinn davies, who was featured here in july, but has added a charming new cookbook layout to her blog, a few gorgeous new photographs, as well as amazingly wonderful new recipes, such as farfalle with bacon, peas and sage, baby fig and apple fruit tarts, conchiglie pasta with mushrooms and parmesan cream sauce, red velvet cupcakes, and of course, pink grapefruit granita . . .

. . . one of the loveliest thoughts is that somewhere in the world, soon it will be spring, just as our days will soon fall into dramatically overcast and blustery skies, slightly chilly and romantically melancholic mornings, somewhere, blossoms are set to bloom and wrap themselves beautifully around branches and there will be pretty shorts and the sheerest blouses, elegant blazers and lacy, champagne-coloured dresses, and since shall always hold on to the very last golden and fading rays of summer sun, lover's spring.summer 2010.11 collection may be just the thing for these last, languorous late-august days . . .
