{hello + happy, happy june}

. . . may still be wondering how we got here so quickly, but must confess that the month of june is an absolute and longtime favourite -- from here until summer's end, it's luxurious long weekends and afternoons on the water, butterflies and fireflies and midnight swims, moonlit kisses and bright mornings, sexy bare shoulders and everything sun-kissed . . .

happy june! hope it's off to a beautiful start,
xo

{monday, monday . . .}

. . . monday, monday & hello! hope you had a perfectly lovely weekend -- it's a two cups of coffee and strewn books and bright bouquets kind of morning after a beautiful weekend, with many splendid things to look forward to in this sunny and brand new week . . .

hope your monday is off to a wonderful start,
xo

{p.s.} a little late, but the winner of the cable & heart bracelet give-away later today . . .

{at home: fresh flowers + golden light}

. . . always lovely to have a saturday afternoon to spend at the market, and recently did just that: he, picking up ingredients for a new paella recipe, and i, happening upon the most charming bouquets of ranunculus and roses in stunning shades of sunset and cerise and -- once home -- utterly enchanted by each perfect petal caught in the golden rays of late afternoon light . . .

{gilded mirrors + chandeliers}

. . . would think a better place to work would be a clear and tidy desk, but maximalist tendencies are hopelessly drawn to the gilt and wonderfully ornate mirror and glamorous chandelier, cut crystal candy dishes and stacks upon stacks of favourite books and imagine this to be the most perfect place for inspiration, a little work, and most certainly, whiling away an early spring evening . . .

{yesterday's golden rays}

. . . there are five bouquets of fresh flowers in the living room, all in pretty antique vases, milk glass, vintage silver and crystal, the room flooded with the enchanting scent of petals and blossoms, and with yesterday's golden rays, spring does not feel nearly as far away . . .
