I think if you live in any larger city you are invited to, or asked to donate to, numerous galas from about October until April. Well, Dallas it is no different. In fact, typically we go above and beyond with galas. I have been lucky to get to attend so many fabulous events since moving here. I had always wanted to attend the Dallas Museum of Art Junior Associates Affair of the Art, but last year is conflicted with my schedule. So, this year I put it on my calendar early and planned to attend with lots of friends. I went on a dress shopping spree earlier in the week (hence the gown post). I lucked out finding a FABULOUS silver Ted Baker in my size at Nordstroms (on super sale none-the-less) that I picked up and then I planned all my accessories. Several friends came over before and we all got ready and could hardly wait to get to the DMA.

Sadly, the event really fell short of all my hopes. I thought I had perhaps worked it up to be more like the DMA Art Ball in my head, but judging from people leaving half way through I do not think I was alone. Alas, it was wonderful to run into people I do not see often enough and of course I had a wonderful time with my besties (we lucked out in getting to sit down in one of the VERY FEW seating areas). Even though this gala really fell flat at least we were all able to support a great cause together, right?!
