Last night I was out for dinner with "the mums"....I see most of these girls every day at school but once a month we go out for dinner....some months there are 8 of us, some months there are as many as 18....we have been away together, our husbands are friends and go away skiing once a year together and our children go to the same school. I love these girls....these are people who I can call at short notice for help or advice and know they will respond immediately, as I would for them.
While we were sitting, eating, drinking and laughing in the way that sometimes only good friends can, I had a real moment of knowing how lucky I am to be part of this group....lucky not only to have my life, and my family's life, enriched by these friendships.....but lucky that with them I can be totally myself -and isn't that truly a gift in itself.
