{falling for fall: mustard + gold}

. . . a weekend spent in the country and has become clear that leaves are falling and there's no turning back -- and everywhere, shades of mustard and gold . . .

. . . whether an iconic and luxurious custom design perfectly paired with an ornate gilt console in the entryway, or a bold and impossibly stylish herringbone pattern in the powder room, there is such wonderful drama and visual impact in graphic patterns in shades of black and white . . .

* cool august nights

{monday, monday . . .}

. . . hello again! . . . a little {fashionably} late today, it's true, but another beautiful summer weekend, and so much so, decided to stay for another night, returning only moments ago . . . and after the starlit nights and warm evening breezes, the late-morning coffees and walks along the river, and most of all, the first countryside picnic of the summer, it's back to business with lingering memories and a few lovely photographs of the weekend . . .

happy, happy monday! and hope your week is off to a perfect start,
xo

emma watson by patrick demarchelier

. . . a very longtime fan of photographer patrick demarchelier's work and was absolutely delighted to happen upon this shoot with emma watson, who took a few moments off from studying from exams to strike a few elegantly windblown poses; adore the soft, painterly quality of the shots, contrasted with the stark regality of the black & white portrait, and most of all, the ruffles paired with french grey in shades of blush and champagne . . .

the second dress is chanel
