I am back.....and Paris was so much fun!!!
.....my favourite things....
....sunshine and blue skies.....wide avenues and boulevards.....Place de la Concorde with its cobbles and memories of the guillotine....amazingly delicious macaroons at beautiful Laduree....garlic escargots and the best creme brulee ever....
....the view from Sacre Coeur over the city....standing underneath the Eiffel Tower and taking in its sheer size....hurtling along the banks of the Seine in a taxi....the stained glass windows of Notre Dame....the stunning stained glass dome of Galeries Lafayette....the gorgeous packaging at Fauchon....the beautiful golden dome of Les Invalides....a glimpse of Rodin's "The Thinker" over the garden wall of the Rodin Museum on my open-topped bus tour....
....the beautiful apartments and buildings....the sense of history....the pavement brasseries and cafes filled at lunchtime with chic Parisiens chatting, people watching and really enjoying their food....
....and of course the wonderful company of Kim and Kasey....an old friend and a new friend....I have been lucky enough to have visited Paris quite a few times so this trip was a chance to relax, soak up the atmosphere and make the most of some girl-time....(both these girls are great photographers so I know their photos are going to be much better than mine!)
Thank you so much for all the fabulous comments on my 200th post, I was thrilled to come home and read them all!
I wish I could give everyone a prize.....but the winner (drawn by the Random Number Generator) is....
Rita from A Refocused Life....
Please email me and let me know which book you would like Rita!
Happy Monday everyone....it is great to be home :)
