Autumn Days....

It's my absolutely favourite kind of day....

the tree outside my kitchen window is swaying in the wind, rustling and whispering....

as I walked back from school this morning leaves were flying through the air,

collecting on the pavement much to my son's delight....

it's still pretty mild but AUTUMN is well and truly here...

happy, happy, HAPPY :)

i have a large coffee in my hand, my elbow is improving and today is "getting-stuff-done" day.....

i have a deadline that i have been putting off,
today is the day....i think ;)

a funny thing happened while i was out and about yesterday.....

i was paying for something and the person i was dealing with called me "Miss".

people don't seem to say "sir" or  "madam" to customers so much these days (or even talk at all sometimes)....

but no one has called me "Miss"for a long long time....he might as well have called me "young lady"!

....it made me think

a) it's been a very long time since anyone has asked me for ID and i am clearly no longer a teenager

b) maybe my skin routine is really working for me and has in fact made me ten years younger

c) maybe he thinks i'm just not the marrying kind

d) maybe he felt as though i needed a boost

who knows?!

of course the reality is that he probably calls every female between the ages of 10 and 90 "Miss", that's just his way....

but actually i liked it, 
it made me smile and reminded me of the days when my grandma would send me to the shop over the road and the shopkeeper would call me sweetheart :)
