Friday Fabulousness....with a little Sparkle....

Another week has flown by....this week has been an interesting week as I have been gardening. I am not a gardener at all....but my latest project is working on my in-laws garden.
For those of you that don't know, both of my in-laws have passed away in the last two years and their home has become a work in progress for us with lots of work to do.

Like many people who moved to London in the 1950's from the continent, they created a little patch of "home" in their back garden.....a slice of what they had come from and what was familiar.....their very large garden was a huge vegetable patch and a small orchard....Little Italy.

We have been fortunate, since we are not gardeners (yet!) to be able to hire a local gardening company and this week they have transformed a wilderness into beautiful lawns.....with apple, cherry, pear, plum, olive and fig trees. We are absolutely thrilled....with the combination of lots of sunshine and lots of sunshine we have had in London in the last few weeks, the garden is blooming right now!

This week-end my next plan is to paint the three existing sheds in a lovely shade of Farrow & Ball Cooking Apple Green....weather permitting and to generally make them look much prettier, I have lots of great ideas....a cottage garden in the city!

Other than that I shall be catching up with Greys Season 2, baking, reading, seeing friends....and as the World Cup has now begun, watching a little football no doubt....those handsome Italians usually get my support ;)

Happy Week-end everyone, thank you for all the wonderful comments as always!
